The One Best Tip for An Entrepreneur

Posted on 12.24.11

Idea ImageOne of the biggest struggles I see in the people I work with is that they’ve been told a million ideas that should work as entrepreneurs ~ and none of them are. My best tip for anyone is to get a very real goal (mine was  financial
sanity for my future children) and to be loyal to it at all costs. So, instead of being loyal to a process, if you know you want to get up Mount Everest you simply wake up every day and do whatever it takes to get there.  I asked my experts what their single best tip was for an entrepreneur ~ and I think you’ll love these. This time of year is always a good time to recommit to your business and these provide exactly what you need to do that.

ps ~ My future child is almost here. Thank goodness I took my own advice!

  3. Sue Painter says:

Great tips, glad to see my friend Terry in here at spot #2.

  4. This is a fabulous list of tips – I especially love Terry’s tip to get help sooner rather than later! It is so much easier to get the help and get used to paying for the help early on :)

  5. I like the comment by Terry Monaghan of Time Triage for reminding me to not spend the little time I have doing jobs I don’t like. Part of my New Year resolution is to highlight the jobs I do that I could outsource, budget for them and give them away! Thanks again.

Good job, terrifc work, I need most of those tips.

If that's the case, then it's really important to know who your business partner is, his/her compatibility with you, how the two or more of you get along, and that you are able to work through challenging situations together in harmony. Having had businesses alone and with partners in the past and currently, it's really important you know who you are "getting into bed with" as this could make or break your business at the end of the day.
